Plants of Iceland

Lots of birds, lots of wind, beautiful waterfalls, and the evening was topped of with a concert from a visiting choir.   But i mostly want to share some photos of flowers today, plus a few others.
Our guide Tryssti on the left -- it is windy!
A fantastic waterfall in south Iceland.
And another..
Scurvy plant eaten to ward off scurvy, of course
Lichen growing from lava rock.  You can drink lichen tea here.
Buttercup- like but larger, grows in clumps in streams.
Why they believe in elves here.
Never seen anything like this before
Lupine everywhere.   Old story--brought in to stabilize soils and now invasive, if pretty. Below is arctic or woolly somrthing.  Again i don't know.  Taken by one of the largest waterfalls in iceland -- controversial in that it may be tapped for hydroelectric power.
